Day of Philately and Harry Sutherland Lecture
Join us as we celebrate The Vincent Graves Greene Philatelic Research Foundation’s 50th anniversary with a Day of Philately – a unique event philatelists won’t want to miss! Hosted at the historic Campbell House Museum in Toronto on July 19th, the day will kick off with a lecture titled Exploring the Contours of Context Philately by Alexander Haimann, FRPSL. Guests will enjoy displays on a variety of topics by Canadian RSPL members, followed by a cocktail hour that will precede the main event: our 10th Harry Sutherland Philatelic Lecture featuring David R. Beech, MBE, FRPSL. Mr. Beech will present Philatelic Libraries: The Final Frontier. We look forward to seeing you there!

Afternoon Tea Social
To kick off our celebrations of the Greene Foundation’s 50th anniversary, we are pleased to invite you to a Tea Social with guest speaker John Wilson! John will present a talk titled “Tea: the Tools and the Trade,” and we hope you will be able to join us for this afternoon of tea, treats, conversation, and of course, philately!

Greene Foundation and Library Closed Today!
The Greene Foundation and Library will be closed today for a carpet repair in our library.

Day of Aerophilately
The CANADIAN AEROPHILATELIC SOCIETY and the BRITISH NORTH AMERICA PHILATELIC SOCIETY’S AIR MAIL STUDY GROUP are co-hosting their annual event.
The first part of the meeting from 11.15 to 1.00 PM will feature a presentation by Marc Castel about his research into the 1927 London to London flight and the CLP6 semi-official stamp. The meeting will continue with lunch on Yonge Street, followed by an open frame session at the VGGF when people can put up exhibits and other material to look at and discuss, and also buy and sell items.

To complement the Day of Aerophilately hosted by The CANADIAN AEROPHILATELIC SOCIETY and the BRITISH NORTH AMERICA PHILATELIC SOCIETY’S AIR MAIL STUDY GROUP, the Greene Foundation’s library will be open on Sunday November 3rd.
